How to get to Karlovy Vary by air:
The main airport is in the capital city Prague https://www.prg.aero/en/map-airport.
Transfer from Prague to Karlovy Vary takes approx. 1hour 20minutes by car.
The transfer can be organised by the Czech organisers. To arrange your transfer please contact Miroslav Bogusky by e-mail: [email protected], providing the details of your flights for arrival and departure – date and time, airline and flight number, number of people to be transported.
At the airport you will find a contact person who will accompany you to the Hotel or Sport Hall to make the registration, they will be easily identified by a sign “SKDUN KARATE”.

Prague to Karlovy Vary has a rail and national bus service connection (this you should arrange yourself, the organisers can provide Internet links or information on request).

There is also an airport in Karlovy Vary that has limited flights https://www.airport-k-vary.cz/en/. For transfer information contact Miroslav Bogusky.

Accommodation:
To arrange your accommodation please contact Lenka Vejvodova by email, providing her with the number of people in your group and a list of rooms required e.g. single, double, twin or family room plus how many people in each room.

VISA:
Participants who need Visa must contact Miroslav Bogusky as soon as possible, time delays may result in your visa not being granted in time for the event. This is your responsibility. Visa requirements and further information is on the championships website www.karlovyvary2019.eu

Officials:
Referees and Judges will need to register on Sportdata before the 28th September 2019.
The Chief referee will appoint referees and issue badges as necessary, SKDUN qualified Referees and Judges have their previously issued qualification badges, this will be their only access to the areas, these will be given automatic admission as officials, non SKDUN qualified applicants will be selected and will have a badge issued as required by the Chief referee.

Meals and refreshments:
The organisers have arranged for catering in the adjacent sports hall in a form of buffet with a choice of 6 main dishes + soup + drink.
Price per 1 day/person = €10.

EVENTS SCHEDULE:

Tuesday 8 October
10:00 to 20:00 Gasshuku (3×2 hour sessions, various senior international instructors)

Wednesday 9 October
10:00 to 20:00 Gasshuku (3×2 hour sessions, various senior international instructors)

Thursday 10 October
10:00 to 15:00 Gasshuku (2×2 hour sessions, various senior international instructors)
Followed by an international dan grading (SKDUN international grading panel)
10:00 to 13:00 Advanced karate training seminar for selected participants only.

Cost of the Gasshuku is €50 for all 3 days, €30 for 2 days and €20 for 1 day

10:00 to 20:00 Registration
Every team manager will receive an envelope with competition numbers for their competitors, identity badges for the team competitors, coaches and officials. It is not necessary to bring the competitors. Only the coach or manager of each team need attend.
Note: no photographers are permitted by anyone other than those authorised by the Chief referee, applications to [email protected] before 28 September. NO EXCEPTIONS.

All the teams who have competitors competing on Friday must register on Thursday, because without their competition numbers and identity badges, they will not be allowed into the sport hall!
Checking the competitors’ weight for kumite categories will be before the start of each category (tolerance + 1 kg, wearing the Do Gi).

09:30 to 12:00 27th SKDUN World Shotokan Karate Championship – VETERANS
(Individual kata, individual kumite, kata teams, kumite teams).
12:30 to 20:00 12th Invitational Kohai Cup (individual kata, individual kumite, kata teams).

Saturday 12 October
09:30 to 18:30 27th SKDUN World Shotokan Karate Championship

09:00 to 12:30 Children individual kata, team kata, individual kumite children
14:00 to 15:00 Official Opening Ceremony
15:00 to 18:30 Minicadets, Cadets, Juniors and Youths individual kumite

Sunday 13 October
09:00 to 17:00 27th SKDUN World Shotokan Karate Championship
09:00 to 14:00 Seniors, cadets and juniors individual kumite and teams.
15:00 to 17:00 Finals for kumite individual seniors + Masters category (male and female).

All participants will receive a certificate of participation.

Competition fees
Individual events – €30 per person per event
Team events – €45 per team per event

Note: Late registrations will be permitted at the organisers’ discretion in exceptional circumstances.
There will be an extra fee for any permitted registration after 28 September 2019:
+€10 for individual events and +€25 for team events.
